To create life-long learning opportunities by imparting literacy to the illiterate population.


1.3 Scope of work:

1.3.1 Area of Functioning of District/Circle Office


1) Opening up non-formal primary education opportunities for out-of-school children (4th Primary Education Education Development Program

covered).

2) Promotion of the importance and programs of non-formal education.

3) Expansion and confirmation of non-formal education.

4) Conducting learning sessions.

1. Strengthening the implementation of good governance and reform activities.


1.4 Functions


1. Non-formal dropout and out-of-school students in the country's formal education

providing primary education;

2. imparting literacy to the elderly illiterate and underprivileged population;

3. Poverty alleviation by imparting livelihood skills training to the newly literate;

4. Enduring Community Learning aims to provide opportunities for lifelong and continuing education

Establishment of Centers;

5. Uniform curriculum and teaching materials for non-formal primary education and literacy programmes
